Application Process

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY!

You must complete TWO applications: one for Psi Chi International and one for UCSD Psi Chi.

Both applications must be submitted or your application will NOT be processed.

1. Complete and submit the UCSD Psi Chi application.

2. Complete and submit Psi Chi International application. For “Local Chapter,” select “University of California, San Diego.”

3. Once your application is approved, you will receive a welcome email from the UCSD Psi Chi requesting the one-time $65 registration fee.** Please make sure this is paid via Venmo (@UCSDPsiChi) or in cash to the treasurer (at GBM or during office hours). Do NOT pay your registration fee until your application has been approved.

4. We send registration fees out to Psi Chi International in batches. Once they have received your registration fee, you will receive a confirmation email from the Psi Chi International office.

5. Pay chapter dues** each quarter. You must pay dues in order to vote, join/chair Committees, attend field trips, participate in events, and attain Distinguished membership status. Funds are used only after a majority vote by members approve the expense.

6. Membership certificates are presented at the Induction Ceremony (to be held May 28, 2020). If you are unable to attend, other pick-up options will be arranged.

Note: The Psi Chi registration fee is independent of the quarterly dues. You may join Psi Chi without participating in our organization - though you will miss many of the best benefits of Psi Chi by doing so!

The deadline to apply for 2019-2020 is April 24, 2020.  No exceptions!

*Requirements to join Psi Chi can change, but only with a majority vote by current Psi Chi members during a GBM.

**There are no refunds for Psi Chi registration fees or chapter dues.
